State Line Post Office

If you happen to be looking for the only post office in the U.S. that sits in two states, you’ll find it here. And if not, you’ll probably think it’s pretty cool anyway. Nicknamed “photographer’s island,” the Texarkana Post Office and Federal Courthouse straddles the Arkansas/Texas state line and has two separate zip codes.

The building is the 2nd most photographed U.S. courthouse—and for good reason. When it was built in 1932, it was smack dab in the middle of the street—half in Arkansas, half in Texas.

Today the building remains a working courthouse and post office, so the inside is all-business, but the outside is open to the public. Come straddle the line and snap a pic while you’re in two states at once!
