AKC Dog Show - February 2nd & 3rd
The Kennel Club of Texarkana, Inc. presents the annual AKC Dog Show at the Four States Fairgrounds. This regional event will take place Saturday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 3rd, 2019. Do you love dogs? Do you want to attend one of the biggest Texarkana events of the year? If so, this is the event for you. In the past, the Kennel Club of Texarkana says they’ve seen around 1,000 dogs and over 120 different breeds from around the country and visitors come from far and wide to witness this prestigious dog show.
Super Bowl Watch Parties - February 3rd
Of course, we can’t forget the other biggest event of the first weekend in February - the Super Bowl! Fat Jack’s Oyster and Sports Bar and Broadway Sports Bar and Billiards are both hosting watch parties for the big game. Pick a spot, invite friends and family, and get together to watch the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams.
Night to Shine - February 8th
The 2nd annual Tim Tebow “Night to Shine” will be Friday, February 8, 2019 from 6-9 P.M. at the Holiday Inn Texarkana Arkansas Convention Center. The Tim Tebow Foundation works with local churches and organizations to put on its “Night to Shine” prom for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. The night will truly be one to remember, complete with a fireworks show provided by Stateline Fireworks. Learn more about Night to Shine.
1894 City Market - Formerly Second Saturday Trade Days - February 9th
Visit downtown Texarkana on Saturday, February 9th for a special Valentine’s Day themed 1894 City Market, where you’ll find local vendors, artists, and gifts all in one place. This opportunity to shop local and support Texarkana’s small businesses takes place at 1894 Gallery. Find your Valentine a special gift ahead of the holiday.
Cookies & Canvases Valentine’s Date Night - February 9th
If you’re looking for a unique date night idea this month, this event involves an evening of canvas painting with your date and your ticket includes special Valentine treats from Graham Slam Bakery. The fun will take place at Graham Slam Bakery’s new location in historic downtown Texarkana. 12th Annual Run the Line - Half Marathon and Relays - February 17th
Run the Line is your unique opportunity to run a single race that not only takes place in two states but that actually includes a portion where you run right down the state line in downtown Texarkana. Jordan World Circus - February 18th
Come one, come all, to the Jordan World Circus at the Four States Fairgrounds! Texarkana visitors and residents of all ages will be thrilled with the exciting acts at this circus, including “death-defying aerial acts and animal attractions including tigers and elephants.” Kids will also get the chance to ride and pet different animals. Mardi Gras on Front Street - March 2nd
Another event coming up in March that should definitely be on your radar is the 2019 Mardi Gras celebration! It’s March 2, 2019 from 10am - 5pm on Front Street in downtown Texarkana. There will be a kids and pet parade, a Zany Cajun parade, and the final parade - the Krewe of Koinonia at 3pm. Festival guests will also enjoy contests, a King and Queen of Krewe of Koinonia, craft and food vendors, and lots of activities in the kid area from face painting to bounce houses and more. Frank Foster @ Whiskey River Country - March 1st
If you’re a country music fan, you won’t want to miss Frank Foster’s March 1st concert at Whiskey River Country in Texarkana. Whiskey River Country is working hard to keep the live music scene alive and well in Texarkana. Show your support and enjoy this great country artist and singer-songwriter.
